Book Cover
The book cover incorporates a famous shot from the original film.  The trail of dirt left by the car creates an image that ties the back cover, the spine and the front cover together.
Logo
Given the film shared themes and aesthetics with authors such as Cormac Macarthy and Texan true-crime stories it only made sense to give it a gritty and textured feeling.  The title of the book in itself gave room for experimenting with handwritten lettering and tying a relationship between spilling blood and the bleeding edges of the letters.
Inside Cover / Title Page
Incorporating the 'spilling blood' extended to the chapter headings as well as the inside cover.  The ink work was made using PILOT Parallel Pens, from which ink can violently shoot out when used the wrong way.
